We are currently seeking a AS400 Developer to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Job Overview:
The AS/400 Developer will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of applications on the IBM AS/400 platform.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking and financial services, with a strong understanding of banking processes, products, and regulatory requirements.

- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable applications on the IBM AS/400 platform.
- Write and maintain high-quality code using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and other relevant languages.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with AS/400 applications. - Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including backup and recovery procedures. - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and application designs.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system test plans to ensure application functionality and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed applications, including technical specifications, user guides, and process flows.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business, and third-party vendors, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the AS/400 environment.
- Implement best practices for software development, deployment, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in AS/400 development, specifically in the banking domain.
- Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, CLLE, SQL, SQLRPGLE and DB2. - Strong understanding of banking processes, products, and regulatory requirements. - Experience with modern software development methodologies, including Agile.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of web services and integration technologies.
- Experience with modern AS/400 tools and technologies, such as IBM iSeries Navigator and Rational Developer for i.
