Summary
The Supply Chain Manager role involves material planning, purchasing and strategic sourcing of key raw materials for the site. It will lead the Supply Chain team with identifying, analyzing and consolidating all demand signals into a complete demand plan for the site. Responsible for creating detailed material requirements, providing plans for each component whether raw material supplied by external or internal vendors, intermediate products, or shipping items produced internally to the Site and communicating priorities through production schedules and/or supplier schedules. Additionally, this role will establish and develop a Supply Chain department that sustains duration of the site start up and future production through implementation of procedures and standards in alignment with the Novartis Supply Chain Policies and Quality Management Systems.

About the Role
Major accountabilities:
Procurement of Materials
- Ensure Order Management: verifies material availability, documentation readiness and confirmation of deliveries to site
- Ensure material availability in line with the approved production plan.
- Issue purchase orders according to the business needs and within compliance with internal requirements.
- Ensure the stock (safety stock and cycle stock) for incoming materials are available and managed.
- Manage strategic sub-category supplier relationships and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, ensuring that any supplier performance risks and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end-user satisfaction
- Implement site category strategy at local level; directly deploys global category strategy at site level. Provide input into the overall Category segmentation.
- Oversee the implementation of sourcing plans for the sub-category & deliver sub-category savings targets following engagement in the target setting process
Supplier Relationship Management
- Control and follow-up of supplier's service level indicators: Quality OTIF, lead-time violation
- Lead action plans to achieve supplier delivery performance targets and drive for continuous improvement.
- Identification of key supplier relationships or may directly control purchases with respect to supplier choice and timing.
Material Management
- Ensure daily MRP oversight for all BOM material, analysis of requirements
- Own MRP relevant data and materials technical specifications.
- Support Implementation and use of D365
- Coordinate with warehouse and Quality to ensure the relevant activities are completed to release materials in line with the production needs.
- Manage planning & logistics for sample testing at external test sites
- Manage planning & execution of material transfer between different Novartis sites.
- Ensure write off activities for expired and un-utilized product and materials
- Ensure monthly/quarterly reconciliation of raw materials in Microsoft Dynamics 365
Production Planning
- Actively supports the global S&OP process.
- Ensure production plans are developed and maintained according to outputs of S&OP.
- Ensure finished product is delivered to intended sites.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $112,800 and $169,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain, is required
- 5+ years of relevant experience is required
- Previous GMP experience is required
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical environment is preferred
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
- Problem solving ability in cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient with MS Excel.
- Highly organized with strong orientation process / project management orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates strong personal ethics and responsibility to purpose

- Vendor Management
- APICS or CPSM training, certification preferred.
- Operating with integrated ERP tools preferably with D365
