About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage global, cross-functional project teams or workstreams of major strategic programs in a variety of areas within Novartis (e.g.: biomedical research, drug development, manufacturing, commercial divisions)
  • Program objectives and challenges to be solved can range from target operating model, operational excellence, strategy, M&A, data & digital, program management, change management to coordination of enterprise tools implementation;
  • Ensure solution and project deliverables are properly designed and implemented with little supervision, and in accordance with the agreed project methodology and approach;
  • Build and maintain trust with stakeholders in global, high-level leadership positions and work collaboratively with project partners towards a common goal
  • Actively contribute on continuous improvement and innovation of internal services (e.g. critical initiatives, team learning and culture, capability groups, business units, methodology development)
  • Seek opportunities to share the knowledge back to the team and implement new ways to improve team culture

Essential Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience with project delivery ideally in any of these areas: Management consulting, Post-merger integration, Pharma / Biosciences, Technology and Innovation industries
  • Successful track record in solving business problems in at least one of these areas: Post-Merger Integration, Organizational Change Management, Operating Model design, Strategy, Program / Project Management, Launch Excellence (in pharma), Data & Digital;
  • Experience with end-to-end project lifecycle including planning and all elements of project execution;
  • Experience in managing small cross-functional teams and strong senior stakeholder management;
  • Team player attitude ('Team Before Self') - Protecting, developing, and recognizing teammates;
  • Proven knowledge or certifications in any of the following areas: Agile, Design Thinking, Project Management, Organizational Design, Lean Six Sigma, Change management, Coaching;
  • Proficient in English -The business language of Novartis and the consulting team is English (a second European language would be advantageous);
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite is required (especially, MS PowerPoint). Knowledge of MS Project, collaboration tools (MS Teams, Miro) is an advantage.

Desirable requirements:

  • Master's degree in business, scientific or technical area
  • Experience working in an international environment or abroad
  • Experience from Big 4 is preferred
