As a part of Supply Chain and External Supply Operations team in Novartis Technical Operations, you can contribute among different teams.

The Project Manager - Supply Chain Management proactively manages projects through cross-functional project teams in collaboration with customers and acts as a project lead at Site and/or Platform for NTO technical/ manufacturing/ engineering projects during the Life Cycle of a given product, e. g. product launches, changes, transfers, pruning, divestment and other non-LCM projects, ensuring coordination across global and local functions in alignment with Global / regional functions as appropriate.

The job requires demonstration of strong project management skills and focus on high customer satisfaction by managing the business relationship with the customer. The projects within scope have substantial impact on the Novartis strategy for public-private partnership globally. The role requires project management of Supply Chain Projects, e.g. product integration, distribution switches, assortment optimization, complexity management to ensure optimal realization of product strategies. The role is a part of an End-to-end project management service provided by Supply Chain Operations.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage projects with medium to high complexity.
• Setup and lead local and/or global cross-functional project teams.
• Identify potential risks and elaborate contingency plans as appropriate, communicate project progress and deviations.
• Set-up and lead distribution switch calls for global product life cycle programs across ~140 countries.
• Align bridging/ contingency stocks for the products and countries in scope to ensure continuation of supplies.
• Ensure information flow to all stakeholder.
• Ensure project is implemented according to defined.

Essential Requirements:

• Higher education, degree in science (chemistry, pharmacy or chemical engineering) and/or business administration advantageous PMP certification preferably.

• English - fluent, other language - a plus.
• Experience in project management, leading cross- functional global teams.
• Experience in Supply Chain Management / production and / or technical development. in Pharmaceutical or Food industry.
• 3-4 years within similar role and complexity.
• Intercultural experience and ability to act in a complex and rapidly changing business environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication, strong influence, negotiation, and diplomacy skills.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and flexibility through effective and innovative cooperation.
