Summary

In line with overall product strategy, the Medical Manager is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and execution of Medical Affairs pipeline plans for ASCVD, providing scientific information, helping design & organise clinical studies, building educational dialogue with KOLs and regulatory stakeholders

About the Role

Location

This role is based in the London office in the UK on a hybrid working basis which requires 12 days per month in the office.

This role does not offer relocation or visa support so please only apply if you have the right to work in the UK and the office location is convenient for you.

  • Contributing to clinical and overall cross functional strategy during the brand life cycle / disease area
  • Building strong partnerships with cross functional teams to drive the ASCVD company objectives forward
  • Having a seat at the cross functional table and provide medical input to overall business plans
  • Acting as strong team players within a thriving and newly forming medical team
  • Performing critical appraisal of scientific data and contributes to publication plans
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop impactful medical education plans and projects, inspire, influence and educate on the importance of the clinical context
  • Supporting the process of building the evidence generation plan and assesses the future needs.
  • Identifying and acting on insights, relevant to launch readiness and life cycle maximization, analyse and share them timely and appropriately, to impact the strategy accordingly
  • Supporting creation of implementation science plans
  • Effectively communicating clinical evidence to internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Identifying HCS stakeholder needs and opportunities to engage

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Pharmacist, Medical doctor or possession of a PhD or Masters qualification in scientific/medical
  • Experience in Head Office Medical Affairs in another pharmaceutical company is ideal. If not then experience as an MSL or from a related Head Office function may be considered.
  • Good knowledge of Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Metabolic, ASCVD disease area
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and customer orientation
  • Reasonable knowledge of drug development and the UK Health Care System
  • Good understanding of evidence generation and educational strategies
  • Strong understanding of the ABPI code
  • Experience and knowledge of the UK/NHS Healthcare system
