About the role:
Do you share our purpose to reimagine medicine through gene therapies? We are looking for an innovative, experienced, and creative individual to join our team as a Medical Science Liaison. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for shaping our #OneTeam strategy by engaging with medical experts to make a difference for the spinal muscular atrophy community.

This role will work directly with the Gene Therapies team and reports to the Medical Advisor/Medical Science Liaison Manager.

  • Develop peer-to-peer scientific relationships with medical experts
  • Liaise with and provide up-to-date medical information and data to health care professionals and to internal cross-functional colleagues
  • Identify and integrate insights and data from healthcare systems with the goal of improving health outcomes for patients
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively improve the patient and caregiver experience
  • Deliver on everyday executional excellence and commit to ongoing professional growth and development to meet our patient-driven purpose

What you'll bring to the role:

Essential:

  • MD, PharmD, PhD or other life sciences degree with solid medical/technical background
  • Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationships with medical experts
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare system and of research procedures and other ethical guidelines related to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to manage complex projects in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to synthesize complex scientific information and analyze it within strategic and regulatory settings
  • Initiative, self-motivation and superior organizational and time management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in Spinal Muscular Atrophy and/or Rare Diseases
