Summary
Location: Hyderabad
Be the LDC leader and key IT business partner for LDC Program focussing on Business and IT Controls including Financial Controls and Compliance (FC&C) and General IT Controls (GITCs) globally and locally in the preparation and execution of the Lean Digital Program to drive change and engagement enabling Novartis to transform into a focused medicines company powered by data and digital function heads.
Collaborate with the Business functions in the preparation, execution, and implementation of digital requirements, to ensure adequate Internal Controls are fully embedded within respective business processes.
Leverage technology advancements (e.g., Data mining, AI/ML etc.) to support Continuous Controls monitoring and definition of early warning signals / identification of Key Risk Areas, resulting in timely remediation, sustained compliance, operational effectiveness, and greater transparency.

About the Role
Major Accountabilities
- Part of LDC Core Enablement leadership team, supporting on Business and IT control considerations, ith respective Business Counterpart. Ensure NFCM matrix accurately reflects the standardized business processes as per LDC, and evaluate opportunities to minimize redundancies (i.e., leaner control matrix)
- Enhance integration between Business and IT Controls topics, to enhance efficiency of compliance mainly in relation to IT Application Controls (NFCM / SOX relevant applications, interfaces, etc.).
- Support audits with relevant IT processes and procedure documentation. Be accountable for IT deliverable planning and execution such as the definition and execution of IT risk assessments, the SAP GRC implementation of business controls, etc. and define appropriate measures to closely detect any deviations from plan.
- Evaluate and drive business acceptance of digital opportunities and it's eco system specific to topics relevant for Financial Compliance, such as design of preventative/automated controls, continuous controls monitoring & fraud detection (Data mining, Machine learning / AI etc.), as well as collaboration with Auditors on digital audit capabilities.
- Help identifying and implementing process relevant IT systems and solutions, that support automation and meet user requirements specific to processes relevant for Financial Compliance- globally and locally. Drive identification and implementation of Financial Compliance relevant IT solutions, to efficiently manage Internal Controls within Novartis and to meet the future compliance requirements (i.e., better integration with ERP, data analytics, anomaly detection etc.)
- Ensure strong Access governance and well-regulated Access controls to ensure minimal access conflicts (/segregation of duties). Support definition of standard job positions across business processes, for creation of standard job roles in ERP.
- IT Controls knowledge and experience, driving application security and maturity assessments. Lead GRC-PC roadmap and ensure high level of automation of business and IT. Manage change and co-drives building, reviewing, and endorsing of training material.
- Support cultural change, explore new ways of working, collaborate and support the overall success of the program and execute the required changes to meet business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in business/technical domains or equivalent proven experience & certifications in the field
- 12+ years of relevant professional IT experience in SAP
- Proven experience of managing Controls and compliance in SAP S/4HANA Eco-system applications and platforms
- Proven experience with program rollouts / migration projects / SAP implementation projects / SAP estate operations
- Proven track record of broad industry experience and excellent understanding of Controls and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in leadership and management in matrix organizations
