Summary

Key responsibilities:

  • Executes production plan on time in full on a short-term operational horizon.
  • Releases shop orders in SAP for internal packaging and allocates pack materials.
  • Creates the print orders in SAP and orders the overprinted labels to the 3rd party label vendors where required.
  • Manages the invoices (check and approval) from the 3rd party label vendors.
  • Manages production supply area by ensuring components of BOMs are available (staging) and by monitoring expiry date and status.
  • Leads weekly meeting with shop floor to ensure feasibility of production plan
  • Collaborates with role responsible for Production Master Data regarding BOMs and recipes.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks on short term planning updates, with appropriate escalation and communication.
  • Implements actions to resolve backlogs in coordination with the shop floor (shift, resource, short term personnel planning change, overtime)
  • Collaborates with the Tactical Planner for handover processes.
  • Proactively communicate key issues and any critical topic in a timely manner to the appropriate management level and to/or any other relevant project team members. Provide input on issues and collaborates with other team members to facilitate issues resolution.

Key performance indicators:

  • Quality (GMP), quantity, and timelines for all assigned tasks/projects -Compliance with Novartis standards, in particular, ethics, health, safety, and environment (HSE), and information security (ISEC) standards.
  • Unit KPIs (e.g. FPFV (first patient first visit), LTA (lost time accident), FTR (first time right), Rework Rates, Recalls)

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in science, engineering or equivalent.
  • > 2 years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or > 3 years of experience in field of expertise
  • Apprenticeship or formal education in a logistical, technical or related business area
  • Basic project management, good organization and planning skills
  • Good knowledge of HSE/GMP standards and processes
  • Problem-solving and idea generation skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Fundamental Leadership skills.
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in English.
