Supports the strategic plan in alignment with the health system's and nursing's mission and strategic priorities. Maximizes organizational and individual research, capacity and competence. Contributes to building the science for nursing practice through research and Improvement science with the goal of improving care delivery and patient outcomes.
Job Responsibility
- Provides strategic advice and guidance to the Clinical Professional Development and Program Management function. Promotes, supports, and facilitates individuals to engage in clinical inquiry through research; conducts/facilitates research studies and tests innovations; designs through evaluation phase.
- Publishes/facilitates publications in peer-reviewed journals, internal and external presentations at local, regional, national and international forums, facilitates annual nursing research conference.

Job Qualification
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree within 5 years of employment date.
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
