Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Semi-Conductor Chemical Systems Technician 1 to join its team within the Mission Systems Organization. This position is located in Linthicum, Maryland.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Perform a variety of skilled tasks associated with the monitoring and consumable material replacement for point of use gas systems, bulk liquid chemical delivery units (CDUs), waste collection stations, lift stations, and facility scrubbers.
Tasks are varied and often require considerable skill and initiative on the part of the employee to complete assigned tasks. These tasks are typified by, but not limited to the following areas:
Perform routine inspections and maintain consumables for all hazardous and inert point of use gas systems (i.e. gas cabinets, tonner systems, gas bottle racks, etc.). Report any system discrepancies to supervisor and appropriate engineers.
* Perform consumable hazardous and inert gas vessel such as cylinder & tonner changeouts as necessary with coordination of key stakeholders for each system (i.e. equipment vendors, NGC equipment engineers, NGC operations, etc.)
* Perform routine inspections and maintain consumables for all liquid chemical delivery systems (i.e. bulk acid CDU, bulk solvent CDU, etc.). Report any system discrepancies to supervisor and appropriate engineers.
* Perform changeouts of liquid chemical consumables associated with the CDUs as necessary. Coordinate with foundry material coordinators (shipping and receiving dock personnel) for movement of material to local delivery to the CDU.
* Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting with assistance of Line Maintenance and Plant Maintenance of the lift stations, scrubbers, and solvent waste stations. Report any system discrepancies to supervisor and appropriate engineers.
* Ability to obtain, deliver, and move material from one location to another, utilizing appropriate material handling equipment such as bottle carts, pallet jack, fork trucks, etc. as required.
* Utilize various digital systems to maintain records of inspections and documentation of work activities (i.e. NGC's Data Collection System, Factory Works, etc.).
* Ensure all corporate and site-specific safety and chemical handling protocols are always followed. Position requires personnel to be able to maintain certification for Level A, B, C and D PPE as defined by OSHA 1910.120 App B to complete the tasks of this job function.
* Coordinate all non-consumable replacement maintenance activities with NGC maintenance personnel (i.e. mechanical, electrical, etc.). NGC Maintenance personnel can assist where applicable and available.
This is a SEA Union Represented position.
This is a 1st Shift position.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school graduate or equivalent and Journey Person in related Trade School or Military Experience or AAS degree in STEM
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Has familiarity and understanding of Hazardous/Toxic gas safe Handling: Include but not limited to Gas bottle Monitoring, Change, Storage, Carrying, dispose using proper PPE and knowledge of chemical safety data sheets. Knowledge and ability to perform regular maintenance of Chemical Pumps and control with the assistance of Line and Plant Maintenance.
