Supply Chain Planning Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team in Melbourne, FL, a team of qualified, dedicated, and diverse professionals designing, developing, building, and supporting some of the world's most advanced products. This position is in support of the Strike Program and will require On-site support. No remote work is available. Be a part of this historic program that is critical to our nation's defense.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Defines and develops material strategies to meet manufacturing timelines and quality requirements.
* Assesses supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; and evaluates production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
* Participates in the make/buy process, long-term capacity, and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management.
* Utilizes MRP tools to analyze supply/demand requirements, monitors inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements and maintains accurate material lead times.
* Collaborates with Program Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality Assurance to develop solutions to a variety of challenges in order to meet manufacturing and testing schedules per the Integrated Master Schedule.
* Receives and reviews requirements for non-standard parts, assesses and addresses the schedule impact of design revisions, and communicates material position as it relates to production and financial forecasts.
* Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements. Creates and adjusts requirements and requisitions.
* Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
This position may be filled at either the level 2-Specialist or level 3-Principal Specialist depending upon candidate experience levels and qualifications.
Basic Qualifications (Level 2 - Specialist):

Current active DoD Secret clearance (to apply/start)
* Ability to obtain Special Program access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (prior to starting)
* Bachelor's Degree with 2 years combined work experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management or a Master's Degree. A high school diploma with 6 years of work experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management may be considered in place of degree.
* Knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with analyzing and manipulating large data sets
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks and develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Basic Qualifications (Level 3 - Principal Specialist):

Current active DoD Secret clearance (to apply/start)
* Ability to obtain Special Program access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (prior to starting)
* Bachelor's Degree with 5 years combined work experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management or 3 years combined work experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management with a Master's Degree. A high school diploma with 9 years of related work experience in Subcontracts, Purchasing, Contracts, Finance, Logistics, Planning, or Project Management may be considered in place of degree
* Experience with SAP or other similar ERP/MRP system and experience with analyzing and manipulating large data sets
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:

A current active DOD Secret Clearance that has been investigated in the last 5 years
* Current NGC Special Program Access
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experienced communicator with ability to present information in an organized and effective manner to program and executive leadership
* Experience collaborating across multiple functions and teams to coordinate and affect the desired outcome
* Experience with the SAP MRP system and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Salary Range: $62,200 - $93,400
Salary Range 2: *$76,600 - $115,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
