Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Staff Systems Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer to support test and verification activities of RF sensor systems. As the lead developer of radars, COMMS, and SIGINT for some of the most advanced systems in the U. S. arsenal, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a world leader in advanced sensor systems and design. These include airborne RADARs for fighter jets & UAVs including F-22, F-35, F-16, Global Hawk (Triton), and Gray Eagle (STARLite), airborne surveillance RADARs for AWACS and E-7 (MESA), and ground and maritime RADARs including G/ATOR and SEWIP.
What you'll get to do:
Qualified I&T engineers will perform hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated RF sensor systems, including both hardware and software components in development and production environments; Synthesize internal and external customer needs and requirements into system tests that acknowledge technical and schedule constraints; Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements; participate in I&T readiness reviews, design reviews and conducts audits of I&T program facilities; Coordinate integrated testing activities that may include lab standup, acceptance and verification testing, mode integration, flight test; Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program; Perform analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive reports; Use modeling and simulation tools to expedite testing of individual units before all system components are available and for troubleshooting and repair of failed units.
This specific role will be supporting Advanced Tactical Programs (ATP) Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) contracts as the Systems I&T Deputy Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, within the Tactical Fighters Airborne Multifunction Sensors E&S homeroom.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support Systems I&T IPT lead on all tasks, including:

Customer and program management point of contact for all ATP systems integration & test activities

* Lead integration, testing & troubleshooting of the ATP system including digital integration, radiating integration, mode integration and flight test, qualification test, acceptance testing, and design verification testing.

* Lead system integration strategy and flow development, developing test plans and defining test environments, scenarios and objectives

* Drive a multi-disciplinary integration team through technical hurdles and solutions, enforcing integration processes

* Interface with product design teams for implementation of root cause resolutions

* Work with technical leads to develop schedules, technical briefs and status

* Own resource management, including engineering staff, benches, and integration assets

* Support Earned Value Management

This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance with Special Program Access (SAP) is required.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 12 years of experience; or 10 years of relevant experience with a Masters (MS) degree or 8 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D. 4 additional years in lieu of a degree

* Candidate must be a US Citizen

* Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and Special Program Access (SAP) is required.

* Expert in leading a multi-disciplinary team environment

* Expert verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate internally and external team members

* Strong understanding of Systems Engineering concepts, including requirements analysis and verification planning and execution

* Knowledge and experience with RF Hardware and test equipment

* Knowledge and experience with proposals, basis of estimate creation, technical volumes, etc.

* Knowledge and experience with Agile principles, tools, and implementation

* Ability to qualify for program access based on customer requirements (SAP/SAR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Technology Programs SAP clearance

* Knowledge and experience in the development of ground, air, or sea-based radar, EW, and/or COMMS systems

* Knowledge and experience in experimental Flight Test planning and execution

* Knowledge and experience in environmental and EMI/EMC planning and execution

* Knowledge and experience in on-site test demonstrations planning and execution

* Experience with MATLAB coding, test scripting, data analysis and signal processing

* Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex HW/SW integration problems

* Knowledge and experience in firmware and hardware control integration planning and execution

* Knowledge and experience integrating and testing software written in C, C++.

* Knowledge and experience in secure processing and systems security integration planning and execution

* Knowledge and experience developing scripts/code in Python/C/C++ to automate manual processes

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: *$163,200 - $244,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
