As a member of this Division Compliance team, this individual will be working with other like minded individuals within the compliance organization and within our GSC community to improve both procurement knowledge and skill sets critical to ensuring operational excellence and supply base diversity is achieved at program, division, sector and enterprise levels. Staff level position requires successful candidate to effectively manage work assigned to them while supporting others in our endeavors to follow through on being both strategic and tactical in the assessment and application of policy, procedure and processes, collaborating as needed with leadership in prioritizing critical actions and related activities.
Key responsibilities of a global supply chain regulatory compliance officer:

Monitoring regulatory landscape: Keeping track of changing regulations in different jurisdictions where the company operates and identifying potential compliance risks

Supplier due diligence: Assessing potential suppliers to ensure they meet compliance standards and conducting regular audits to maintain compliance

Policy development: Establishing and implementing company-wide policies and procedures related to global supply chain compliance

Risk assessment: Identifying and mitigating potential compliance risks within the supply chain, including issues related to labor practices, environmental standards, and product safety

Compliance training: Educating employees and suppliers on relevant compliance regulations and procedures

Incident management: Responding to and investigating potential compliance breaches, taking corrective actions as needed

Reporting and documentation: Maintaining thorough records of compliance activities and providing reports to senior management.

Key skills for a global supply chain regulatory compliance officer:

Deep understanding of international regulations: Familiarity with various laws and standards related to import/export, customs, product safety, labor practices, and environmental protection in different countries

Supply chain knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain process, from raw materials to finished goods

Risk management skills: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate potential compliance risks

Analytical skills: Analyzing data to identify trends and potential compliance issues

Communication skills: Effectively communicating compliance requirements to stakeholders across different levels and regions

Cross-cultural awareness: Understanding cultural nuances and adapting communication strategies to different countries

Basic Qualifications:

Must have A High School diploma/GED and 16 years of contracts and/or procurement regulator compliance experience procurement, or related business experience. A bachelor's degree with 12+ years of contracts, supply chain, procurement, or related business experience -OR- a master's degree with 10+ years of contracts, supply chain, procurement, or related business experience will also be considered

Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements

Experience utilizing MS Office Suite, SAP and other business tools including those used in the execution of subcontracts management activities and procurements of international products and services

Demonstrated ability to work in a very fast paced; Ability to multi-task and make sound decisions in a timely manner.

Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

A bachelor's degree with 12+ years of contracts, supply chain, procurement, or related business experience -OR- a master's degree with 10+ years of contracts, supply chain, procurement, or related business experience

Experience supporting different types of programs or product lines as well as contract types including cost types

Experience working with subcontractors during all phases of program lifecycle

Proficiency creating procurement policies, operating procedures, process instructions, etc.

Proficiency in proposal processes and operating procedures and process instructions ensuring adequacy of NG proposals and subcontractor proposal packages

Work with Compliance Team members to train and mentor Buyers, Subcontracts Administrators and Supply Chain Managers on specific topics directly related to regulatory compliance as it pertains to critical steps in the procurement process.

Demonstrated understanding of ITAR requirements and compliance

Demonstrated collaboration and/or experience working as a member of an Integrated Program Teams (IPT)

Salary Range: $128,500.00 - $212,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
