Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.
C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
Essential Functions:

Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS to the C2BMC-developed applications
* Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer
* Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation
* Develop test plans/procedures for software integration test conduct, be responsible for integration/execution, detailed data analysis, and preparation of software test reports
* Coordinate execution of SW integration tests to verify system operation
* Work with software developers to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during software integration
* Submit problem reports for errors found
* Responsible for implementing all Information Assurance directives on the systems, including running IA scans
* Task and coordinate daily integration activities with other local team members
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Technology, Software Engineering, or Mathematics discipline preferred from an accredited university and 12 years of related work experience or a Master's degree in a related discipline and 10 years of related work experience or a PhD and 8 years of experience or 16 years of related work experience instead of a degree may be considered
* Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued
Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
* DoD 8140 certification at
IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, CISSP, CISA, etc.) is required to start
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support installation and checkout at customer sites (including OCONUS)
* Experience in the integration of separate software components into a single system
* Experience integrating complex applications on
Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
* Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up
* Experience with
VMWare systems administration and installation
* Experience with
VM Horizon View
* Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system
* Experience with scripting languages (developing, debugging, and maintaining)
* Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code
* Familiarity with
Java and object-oriented development
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
* Must be skilled in software integration planning and execution
* Must have, or be able to develop, in-depth expertise in the C2BMC concept of operations and user interface
* Must have experience writing installation manuals
* Must write clear, concise system installation and configuration instructions
* Must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with software developers, system administrators, and analysis and test engineers

Salary Range: $155,400 - $233,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
