Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Software Engineer with experience in designing and developing SW applications. This role can be located in Melbourne, FL or El Segundo, CA, where we define possible.
Accomplish You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications by analyzing user needs, creating code, and ensuring the functionality of the software to meet those requirements, often utilizing various programming languages and engineering principles to build solutions across different platforms. You will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining existing software systems and capabilities supporting fleet sustainment operations. Ensure software standards are met. Additionally, the position calls for you to be able to work with government maintenance customers to understand their need and come up with innovative solutions that meet those needs.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of experience OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience
* In-Scope DoD Secret Clearance is required to start.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to commencement of employment
* Significant experience with database design and SQL
* Significant experience with C#, Java, or VB
* Significant experience with ASP.NET Web Forms or ASP.NET MVC
* Significant experience with the .NET Framework
* Work-related experience with .NET Core
Preferred Qualifications:

Differentiating characteristics include demonstrated leadership, teamwork capabilities, excellent oral and written communications skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills at all levels of employees and management.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
* Active DoD Top Secret clearance
* A Special Access Program clearance
* 10 years of experience with database design and SQL
* 10 years of experience with C#, Java, or VB
* 10 years of experience with ASP.NET Web Forms or ASP.NET MV
* 5 years of experience with the .NET Framework and .NET Core
* Work-related experience with developing and deploying full stack applications
* Work-related experience operating in an Agile environment
* Work-related experience with full life-cycle software development projects
* Work-related experience performing studies, trades, and system analysis

Salary Range: $171,000 - $256,400
Salary Range 2: *$147,700 - $221,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
