The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead a team of 5-10 engineers to integrate and test software/hardware systems in complex IT systems.
* Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working closely with other engineers and technicians in a lab-like environment.
* Lead a multi-discipline engineering team to accomplish complex objectives
* Demonstrate ability to formally present technical solutions to senior leadership.
* Provide expert software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users as well as engineering technical support for peer teams.
* Engineer and test new technical solutions in lab environments, technical requirements, and/or bug fixes
* Use application of extensive technical expertise to support a developing system.
* Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
* Document and maintain system configurations
* Release CM controlled documentation, scripts, and COTS software media
* Maintain COTS Hardware, software configuration matrix, technical installation, configuration, and update procedures
* Develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts, Bash and Python scripts, and Microsoft Group Policies
* Implement engineering changes to the system as required
* Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, and vCenter
* Design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience.
* At least two (2) years of experience in a technical leadership role
* Ability to obtain and maintain Security+ Certificate for administrators
* Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
* Experience with VMware, vCenter, ESXi

Familiarity with storage systems and basic networking
* Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
* Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience developing advanced technological ideas and guiding their development into a final product
* Project Management or Project Engineering experience
* Current Special Program Access
* Security+ Certificate for administrators
* Mission Planning experience
Salary Range: *$165,000 - $247,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
