This position is 100% onsite (no remote work option) and it is contingent on final approval of DoD Secret Clearance and Special Access Program clearance.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Leading a multi-disciplined engineering team.
* Guiding the technical performance of the program.
* Providing support to program management in meeting technical performance requirements, staffing, cost, and schedule requirements.
* Coordinates requirements development, hardware/software design, verification, and validation activities.
* Ensures that the program is adhering to sound engineering processes in the rapid development, prototype production, and developmental test activities and is compliant with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
* Maintains cognizance over technical activities within program IPTs and ensures horizontal integration of the best engineering practices across the company.
* Continually coordinates with advanced programs leadership team to ensure the execution of program statement of work.
* Serves as the primary program technical customer interface and some travel may be required.
* Expected to work collaboratively and with influence to gain commitment and performance from all team disciplines, program customers, business operations and contracts as needed to drive required business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 14 years of experience; or Master's degree with 12 years of experience; or PhD with 10 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
* Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
* 10+ years of experience leading a technical team to successful product development and delivery.
* Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team.
* Strong program execution skills; Demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.
* Ability to integrate, engage, and lead team to perform at top level of performance.
* Ability to leverage experience/background to bring alternative ideas/solutions to the team.
* Be able and willing to travel up to 25% as a part of the role.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Advanced Communication Apertures
* Must possess excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
* Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Teams and Suppliers
* Experience leading design, production, and integration of complex systems
* Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
* Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either a chief engineer or technical lead.
* Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.)
* Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations
* Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus when dealing with groups from diverse organizations and backgrounds.
* Demonstrated experience in making sound decisions in uncertain and difficult situations.
* Familiarity with Agile development
* Demonstrated background of successfully applying NG Systems Engineering Principles and Operating Practices to guide program technical design, development, and deployment of large-scale systems architectures.
Salary Range: $179,600 - $269,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
