Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD), Phoenix program is seeking a qualified Principal or Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the role of Mission Systems Thread Lead for a Mission Integration program. Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical thread lead role for the Space Security business area. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and review requirements, verification plans, and architecture at all levels of the System
* Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
* Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into lower level specifications
* Integrate complex design elements across multiple teams and vendors of the Phoenix program
* Coordinate with all levels of the program to ensure a comprehensive system design
* Ensure ground system software teams are developing and design their content that meet the system requirements
* Provide subject matter expertise for the Thread to the program
* Brief program leadership, customers, and stakeholders on the on the Thread
* Engage in formal and informal mentoring to support knowledge transfer and talent development.
Basic Qualifications:

B.S. in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 8 years of experience; M.S. in STEM or related area and 6 years of experience

Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of application
* Experience in requirements management, system architecture development, and CONOPs.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience coordinating the efforts of diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in any modeling and simulation tools: Cameo, STK, Matlab, AFSIM,
* Python

Salary Range: $124,900 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
