Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Software Engineer based out of Morrisville NC, Fairfax VA, Linthicum or Aurora CO.
This is a great opportunity for a flexible self-starter to work in a dynamic environment with real world technical content supporting several tools and systems. Plenty of opportunity for career advancement into leadership positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Staff Software Engineer: Bachelor's + 9 years of experience; Master's + 7 years of experience: PhD + 4 years of experience or 13 years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
* Candidate must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI security clearance to be considered and must be willing to take a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly)
* Experience with Kubernetes/Docker
* Experienced Python/C++ programmer
* Experienced team leader
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agile software development using object-oriented Python in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
* Experience working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)
* Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
* Experience working with AWS Services
* Experience with Dockerization and Container Management (Dockers and Kubernetes)
* Previous exposure to working with ground systems (scheduling, tasking, antennas, working with hardware interfaces)
* Current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) completed within the last 5 years
Salary Range: *$121,000 - $181,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
