This position is 100% onsite.

The Senior Principal Project Manager oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Business OPS, Contracts...etc.), facilitating communication and collaboration. This position monitors and reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. This position also assesses project issues, developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. This role will initially serve as the project manager for many of our spares and repairs projects, including our mini-stock point (MSP) projects for quick-turn US Navy replacement parts.
Additionally, this position prepares and presents project status reports for internal & external reviews, and supports special projects, as needed, to improve business area execution.
The successful candidate must demonstrate consistent exemplary judgement while embodying Northrop Grumman company values and leadership behaviors. They should thrive in a fast-paced work environment characterized by high expectations, a wide range of diverse assignments, and a collaborative team atmosphere.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, master's degree with 6 years of experience, Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Program Management, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields. In lieu of a degree, 12 years of experience may be considered.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously
Experience with interfacing with all levels of employees and Leadership
Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:

A current/active Secret Clearance or higher
Previous experience managing projects to successful closure; balancing cost, interpreting financial data, managing schedule and technical requirements & priorities to achieve desired outcome
Experience utilizing digital tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Experience in Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Agile Development.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar
Control Account Manager (CAM) Certification
Experience presenting to senior leadership
Defense Industry Experience
Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
