Sr. Principal Military Trainer - Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Manager to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The MCTP trains Brigade, Division, and Corps Commanders and their staffs during simulation-driven command post Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in support of Large-Scale Combat Operations and across Multi-Domain Operations.

Responsibilities:

Manages the Master Scenario Events List chronological timeline of expected actions and scripted events to be injected into exercise play by facilitators/controllers to generate or prompt player activity. It ensures necessary events happen so that all exercise objectives can be met. Instrumental in scenario design and preparation of the Operational Environment (OE) used to support WFXs.
* Prepares exercise storylines and Master Schedule Event List (MSEL) injects to meet training audience objectives and are assigned exercise rotations to help develop and track storyline inputs and to create a realistic OE for execution during Warfighter exercises.
* Briefs part-time and full-time employees on the OE and has a clear understanding of wrap around activities/units in the OE.
* During WFXs, manages all aspects of an off-site location to include a team of full-time and part-time employees in storyline creation and execution.
* Assist the storyline team lead with day-to-day administrative tasks.
* As required, participates in Exercise Lifecycle (ELC) planning events, working side-by-side with the S35 Military Scenario Planner.
ELC events include local events such as the weekly Exercise Planning Team (EPT) coordination meetings, Initial Exercise Planning (IEP), and Final Exercise Planning (FEP) conferences.

* Interacts with senior military leaders from other operations groups and develops courses of action to meet dynamic training needs of the training audience in all aspects of MESL management
* Occasional travel to Main Exercise Planning (MEP) and Scripting Conferences will be required.
* Develops and maintains a MSEL training course to ensure all WC/RC MSEL managers have the tools to be successful at all sites during an exercise.
* During exercises, works closely with EXCON and senior control to ensure cross talk and understanding on deliberate as well as dynamic storylines.
* During exercises, monitors the storylines / MSEL injects during exercise execution in coordination with multiple exercise location sites.
* Performs actions to ensure a fluid and accurate presentation of the OE and scenario to the training exercise units and assists the Storyline team in developing dynamic scripting of MSEL injects to achieve exercise training objectives.
Basic Qualifications:

One of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years of professional leadership experience
* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional leadership experience
* Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience

* Familiar with current Army/Joint doctrine
* Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
* Must be able to travel as needed both CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% of the time)
* Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
* Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate degree
* U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large-scale computer simulation exercises
* Previous experience in computer assisted simulation training
Salary Range: $89,100 - $133,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
