Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so. We want you to join our diverse team as a Sr Principal Flight Simulation Trainer (Level 4) located in Palmdale CA.
You will develop training curriculum, study outlines, and orientation materials to be employed during procedures, simulation, and/or flight training. Conduct instructional sessions, briefings, follow-ups, and proficiency checks on flight simulators in accordance with federal air regulations and company policies and procedures. Evaluate trainee progress and recommend qualification or additional training. Review simulator design and training effectiveness to provide maximum proficiency. Coordinate utilization schedules for training flight crews and necessary engineering support. Background in piloting. Exclude line pilots.
Responsibilities of this role:

Collaborate with product developers and operators to draft operating procedures for various flight projects.
* Review flight simulator software for user interface/experience changes in design and functionality.
* Develop courseware, study outlines, and lectures that are employed during procedures, simulation, and flight training.
* Write and edit technical publications adhering to an S1000D and MIL-STD-40051 specifications and instructions.
* Conduct quality review of materials.
Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and 12 years of flight/aircrew experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 8 years experience; OR Master's with 6 years experience.
* Ability to obtain and retain a valid FAA Class III flight physical.
* Profound knowledge and understanding of aviation and aerospace technical data.
* Ability to research and interpret engineering data and utilize subject matter experts to draft Technical Orders and operating procedures.
* Ability to gain proficiency with Arbortext, Astoria, EAGLE, or similar technical writing/editing software.
* Ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.
* Ability to complete initial qualification training within 180 days from Special Program access.
* Current Secret DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. in a STEM related field.
* Prior experience as a Pilot, Navigator, or Sensor Operator.
* Current Top Secret DoD security clearance.
Salary Range: $124,900 - $187,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
