Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Engineering & Sciences (E&S) is seeking candidates for the position
Support test operations and test development activities as the Lab Operations Deputy, by ensuring all MDA labs and systems are test ready. Represent the Lab Operations team for all communications and issues with the MDA and external to the MDA (customer-facing).
This position requires full-time work onsite at our Linthicum/Annapolis Junction, MD locations.
What You'll Get to Do:

Coordinate with functional management, MDA program managers, and other MDA department leads to ensure appropriate Lab Operations personnel deployment, support, and budget allocation while considering strategic growth and MDA needs
Candidate will be point of contact for MDA lab related communications and issues, along with system level deployment, build, and scheduling.
Analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed procedures, and develops technical, personnel, and organizational specifications.
Responsible for training and technical development for the Lab Operations team.
CAM for lab consumables and non-consumable lab equipment.
Set and enforce policy for operating procedures, team communications, and interfacing with external vendors.
Act as the Lab Operations lead when the current lead is unavailable.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Cryogenic Systems Engineer:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 8+ years of relevant experience or MS with 6 years of related experience, or PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of related experience
Able to drive execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross organization.
Experience leading technical teams.
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Demonstrated Multi-Disciplinary Engineering and Logistics exposure (Mechanical, Facilities, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross-functionally.
Must be willing to work on site 100% of time.
Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required.
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements
Preferred Qualifications for Sr. Principal Cryogenic Systems Engineer:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or technical management with 10+ years of relevant experience
Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
Experience interfacing with large multi-site/multi-division teams.
Experience in electronic testing equipment and associated test platforms.
Familiarity working with cryogens, Liquid Helium and Nitrogen.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
* Active TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements
Salary Range: $131,100.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
