In this role, the candidate will lead the development and implementation of integrated communications strategies and plans that advance our brand and reputation as a leader in battle management command and control (C2) with support from cross-functional communications teams. The person will be responsible for developing and ensuring the proper message is delivered to target audiences across a variety of paid, earned and owned channels.

The role requires someone who is passionate about building and executing communications campaigns, translating complex subjects into compelling content, and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with a cross-functional communications team and business leaders to create strategic, omni-channel communications that tell our story to key audiences, both externally and internally.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of C2 and air and missile defense, experience in both domestic and international markets, and a keen sense of how communications can support business objectives.
This position may be located in Huntsville, AL or McLean, VA.
Specific duties include.

Develop and implement strategic plans and campaigns, in alignment with key business priorities.
Connect the dots across programs to identify communications opportunities.
Provide counsel and guidance to internal stakeholders.
Create compelling content from start to finish for multi-channels based on customer and market insights, including videos, website, social media, tradeshows, and internal audiences.
Manage execution elements including web, collateral, content, videos, events, demos, digital, social media, advertising, thought leadership etc
Work alongside senior executives to craft internal messages supporting employee engagement, strategic communications, and speaking engagements.
Train and prepare subject matter experts for media interviews and lead interviews with reporters
Coordinate with key internal and external stakeholders for reviews and approvals.
Ensure consistency and integration across all messaging platforms with precise attention to detail.

Gather and analyze metrics to identify effectiveness on key campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement
About you:

Have a track record of taking innovative and creative approaches for reaching target audiences and achieving and measuring desired outcomes/actions.
Intellectually curious and interested in learning about complex, highly technical topics - with a knack for taking those topics and distilling into engaging and digestible stories.
Self-motivated, poised and approachable, able to work independently while managing multiple deliverables in partnership with senior executives/employees, and confident in offering communications counsel to business partners.
Thrive in fast-paced, action-oriented environments and are able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, reprioritize quickly and meet deadlines.
Strong business acumen; ability to understand the broader business impacts, provide recommendations, and clearly communicate to senior leadership.
Experience working in a large geographically dispersed organization or with military, defense industry, and/or government.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree with 8 plus years experience, OR Masters degree with 6 plus years experience. Additional 4 years experience in lieu of degree.
Proven experience building integrated marketing/communications campaigns resulting in successful captures.
Excellent project and team management skills.
Established track record of overseeing and/or architecting effective strategic communications plans, especially related to complex topics, with tangible results.
Strong writing skills, utilizing AP Style, with experience tailoring strategic messages to a variety of audiences, particularly in translating one message for a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to support and enhance strong communications standards, workflows and branding guidelines while disseminating content across multiple mediums, including digital, print, and more.
Affinity for developing relationships with high level officials and/or industry leaders
Demonstrated experience in program communications and/or marketing.
Demonstrated proficiency at consolidating and presenting data using measurement tools and software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to develop compelling presentations for executives and key influencers.
* Aerospace and defense experience.
Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $170,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
