Sr. Principal Chief Engineers-Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. These positions will be located in Baltimore, MD, and placement will be commensurate with qualifications.

This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically greater than 5 people for a low to medium risk project and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phases

Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts

Interpret statements of work assigned by program leadership

Develop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecasts

Interface with functional departments to secure team staffing

Work with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirements

Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned

The selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The selected candidates are expected to be self-motivated, highly-organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM related field and a minimum of 8 years of reated experience, or Master's Degree in a STEM related field and 6 years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Must have a minimum of an active Secret clearance. Must be able to maintain this clearance for continued employment.

Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Leadership experience in a team environment

Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing or Test process

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projects

Fluency with developing and executing project schedules

PMP certification a plus

Active and current Top Secret government clearance a plus
Salary Range: $127,000 - $190,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
