Sr. Principal Change Management Technical Project Lead to our diverse team of professionals. This position is located onsite in either Rancho Bernardo, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, Palmdale, CA or El Segundo, CA depending upon the selected candidate's preference. This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

Drive the development of technical solutions, lead the effort with Responsible Engineers (REs) to prepare the change request packages and lead the effort from approval to completion.
* Ensure all change requests meet technical requirements to progress through the change management lifecycle to include presentations at Enterprise Technical Change Boards.
* Oversee enterprise technical, cost and schedule performance for complex technical projects for a wide range of avionics systems and technologies.
* Support IFC manager with integrating Change Requests into the technical baseline
* Lead a multi-disciplinary team to:
Develop new projects for approval, including development of the statement of work (SOW) and schedule
* Coordinate gathering of impacts and estimates for the proposal
* Develop and adhere to the budget baseline using the Earn Value Management (EVM) process, including development of discrete work packages, providing weekly status of IMS tasks, and providing input to monthly Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates.
* Manage enterprise execution of projects and technical tasks to completion and provide regular status updates to leadership
* Assess, track, and mitigate technical, cost, and schedule risk

The selected candidate should have a proactive management approach, be detail oriented, and have an effective communication style. This position will require someone who can thrive working in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, be continuously engaged in significantly diverse assignments, and work within a collaborative/team setting across all levels of the organization.
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience.
* Familiarity with the Technical Change Management Process.
* Experience with project planning, cost, schedule & performance, including Earned -Value and performance measurement baseline concepts
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams
* Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
* Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
* Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and knowledge of program management processes (project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, staffing, and risk and opportunity management.)
* Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
* Experience with preparing proposals (Basis of Estimate and Rationale)
* Experience with managing suppliers
* Current Special Program Access
Salary Range: *$112,400 - $206,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
