This position is a full-time, virtual position. This could change depending upon business conditions.

As an Automated Testing Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You'll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts, and provide metrics to the team and customer.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Eggplant, Tosca, SmartBear or similar).
* Execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Participate in test planning, test case design, and test strategy discussions.
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in testing processes and methodologies.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in automated testing.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 2 years of relevant experience OR a relevant Masters Degree with 0 years of experience.
* Experience in automated testing.
* Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript).
* Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with all types of automated testing (API, functional, regression, smoke and performance).
* Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Understanding of Agile methodologies.
* ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
Salary Range: $81,300 - $121,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
