Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an
Principal Contract Administrator/Sr Principal Contract Administrator. This position will be located in Roy, UT. Other locations which may also be considered are Colorado Springs, CO and Huntsville, AL. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:
This individual will be part of a team of contracts professionals supporting the Sentinel program, which is a major defense acquisition program to replace the Nation's existing Minuteman III weapon system, as part of the United States' nuclear strategic deterrent triad. With emphasis on supporting the Sentinel weapon system's Command and Launch segment, this individual will provide contract administration for a large, complex contract and program of critical importance. The successful candidate will work closely with contracts, business development, program managers, finance, legal counsel, supply chain, export control and other groups. This experienced contracts professional will use contracts knowledge, skills and abilities to provide sound business advice and problem solving related to U.S. Government contracts, including working as part of a team, covering a wide range of contractual activities/issues and to address complex contracts challenges. Candidate will participate in contract proposal preparation, negotiations, administration, and customer contract activities to manage the Sentinel in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications/requirements. As primary interface with customer, the Contracts Administrator will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, be proactive in administering the contract and maintain necessary contractual records.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Act as the company's point of contact with US Government representatives on all contract matters, including contract change management and modifications.

* Prepare proposals, negotiate, and administer the contract; perform customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements.

* Review and obtain approval of contractual documents.

* Maintain close attention to detail and accuracy of work products.

* Assist personnel to bridge contract requirements and program execution.

* Establish and manage company electronic contractual records.

* Ensure commitment to meet customer needs and completion time frames.

* This role will work on a high visibility program, including to have Corporate, Division and Sector submittals and reviews.

* Manage tight deadlines in a complex environment.

* Ensure compliance with government regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

* Maintain audit-able files for the contract to include the contract, contractual correspondence, changes/deviations/modifications, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules, and deliverables, etc.

* Provide program managers and executives with contract briefings.

* Cultivate strong, ongoing relationships with internal/external customers.

* Provide contractual guidance and risk manage mitigation strategies for contractual business obligations.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:

Principal Contract Administrator: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of professional, relevant experience with US Government Contracts, Subcontracts, or directly related experience; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Sr Principal Contract Administrator: Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of professional, relevant experience with US Government Contracts, Subcontracts, or directly related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Year with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)

* Experience negotiating and administering various contract types.

* Experience with US Government acquisition regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

* Knowledge and experience in interpreting and working changes/modifications to US Government contracts and other contractual type of documents, e.g., non-disclosure agreements, memorandums of agreement, teaming agreements and similar documents.

* Experience in and knowledge of U.S. Government contracts, including various contract types such as cost reimbursement types, fixed price, Time and Materials, etc.

* Be a self-starter, actively pursue problem resolution and obtain needed coordination with stakeholders.

* Excellent writing skills.

* Working knowledge of M365.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree, law degree or paralegal experience.

* Extensive experience in drafting and interpreting US Government contracts for construction, architect-engineer, supplies and services and related/supporting documents.

* Experience in performing contract administration on Department of Defense Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAP), particularly in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development and Production phases.

* Extensive experience with and knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition regulations including the FAR and supplements, particularly the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

* Applicable certification(s) in contracting, e.g., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA), Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting - Professional (FAC-C), and/or National Contract Management Association (NCMA) such as Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), etc.

Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000
Salary Range 2: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
