This position will be in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get to Do:
Synthesize test requirements into verification requirements, test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.
Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.
Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans and procedures.
Participate in internal and customer test planning working groups.
Support program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development
Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
Review test plans, procedures, and reports; witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer
Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer Test: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Sr Principal Engineer Test: Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Required for Both Levels:
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Background in HW design and/or test including working knowledge of Natural and induced Environments
Familiar with certificates of conformance and vendor test documents to inform requirements.
5 years of experience leading, planning and executing testing of SRU's, LRU's, and or Systems.
Proficiency in writing test reports, presenting findings, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with sensors, telemetry, data logging systems, and real time monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience in all phases of the hardware life cycle, including Hardware design and development, qualification testing, and test support.
An understanding of test fixturing and cabling to support interface design.
Ability to negotiate with customers, suppliers, and NGC personnel to support CONOPS definition as well as test.
Ability to develop verification statements and strong understanding of verification descriptions.
Experience with Mil-Std 810, DO-160, 461/464 or similar qualification standards
Experience with testing of circuit cards, cabling or other electromechanical devices.
Experience working in lab, ground test, or flight test environments, operating test equipment, and following structured test processes.
Understanding of how subsystems interact and experience in troubleshooting integration issues.

Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00Salary Range 2: $119,200.00 - $178,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
