Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an MS&A Software Engineer/ Principal Software Engineer. This position can be located in Roy, UT, Huntsville, AL, Colorado Springs, CO, or Bellevue, NE and supports the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
As a Front-End Software Developer, you will support the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team across multiple campuses. This role involves developing and designing front-end user interfaces. We are looking for a candidate with experience in developing front-end applications or user interfaces from a project's conception to the final product. A successful candidate will be innovative and comfortable solving technical problems without significant guidance.
Key Responsibilities:

Development of front-end user interfaces
Support database creation and implementation
Support automation and API development
Evaluation of COTS/GOTS (Commercial/Government Off-The-Shelf) products that could contribute to the end product
Collaboration with various groups to identify stakeholder requirements
Participation in a collaborative Agile environment
Basic Qualifications:
Software Engineer:

Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a Master's degree or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages, such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
Proficiency in server-side languages, such as Python
Experience in developing front-end user interfaces
Principal Software Engineer:

Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience; 3 years experience with a Master of Science degree; 1 year experience with a PhD or additional 4 years in lieu of degree.
Demonstrated experience with developing front-end user interfaces
Demonstrated experience with fundamental front-end languages, such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
Demonstrated experience with server-side languages, such as Python
Proficiency in developing APIs for tool integration
Preferred Qualifications:

Active Top Secret Clearance
Demonstrated experience designing front-end user interfaces with only general guidance and little preexisting structure
Demonstrated experience with maintaining and optimizing database management systems
Demonstrated knowledge of configuration management (CM) principles, concepts, practices, and standards
Experience related to Product Support Analysis (PSA) and/or Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
Experience with Agile Release Train (ART) or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience with Atlassian

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $85,400.00 - $158,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
