What You'll Get to Do:
You will be responsible for the management of the System Security Engineering (SSE) team, while contributing technically to SSE tasks. You must be able to effectively communicate complex technical issues and solutions. A solid understanding of Systems Security Engineering principles applicable to US Government Defense Programs, and applied knowledge in the application across a broad spectrum of security measures (Cybersecurity, Counterfeit Awareness, Anti-Tamper, Hardware / Software Assurance, OPSEC, etc.) to protect Critical Program Information (CPI) / Critical Technologies (CT) is highly desired.
Primary Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Oversight, direction, and mentorship of SSE team
- Self-starters compelled to take action in the workplace without requiring prompting from supervisors
- Execute completion Statement of Work requirements, Program Milestone Exit Criteria, and program maturity commitments
- Ensure all personnel involved in technical content creation have the correct and complete tasking at all times to meet cost, schedule and technical requirements
- Own the technical content and technical quality of the SSE deliveries and artifacts
- Track ongoing technical tasking from creation to completion
- Validate all technical activities are captured in appropriate database(s) and agreed upon with the customer
- Communicate effectively and concisely to Leadership, and clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Leverage your expertise to assess and prioritize a broad spectrum of security threats and manage key protection activities to include software assurance, hardware assurance/trusted foundry, firmware protection, anti-counterfeit and supply chain risk management to mitigate those attacks
- Manage security best practices in addressing risk mitigation, threats, mitigations, vulnerability assessment and countermeasures
- Lead teams within security engineering activities to include requirements, architecture, design, threat and vulnerability analysis, development, evaluation, assessment and authorization
In addition to technical skills, you will be a self-starter with strong time management skills for yourself and your team. Your organizational skills and ability to anticipate future challenges will serve you well. The ability to show self as team leader, able to multi-task, able to delegate, able to make excellent judgement and show interpersonal skills will ensure the success of the SSE team and the MDT IPT.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and at least 8 years of related systems engineering experience
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
3 years in a formal management position
3 year experience in budgeting or managing Cost Accounts.
3 year experience performing Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Communicate complex technical issues and solutions to SSE team members and management.
3 years experience managing SSE team member task allocation, providing technical oversight, and direction.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Experience developing Systems Security Engineering requirements for hardware and software assurance
Experience managing and developing requirements for suppliers that support hardware assurance in the supply chain
Understanding Risk Management (identification and development of risks) and driving risk mitigations to closure
Skilled within Trusted Systems and Networks (TSN) key practices and protection measure selection
5 years of experience in effective communication and clearly present technical approaches and findings
Experience with assessment and analysis of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk for identified mission-critical functions and critical components
Knowledge of threat analysis and protection initiatives, intelligence community policies, resources, databases, and requirements to perform research and analysis
* 1 year experience communicating with the Functional Homeroom (FHR) to establish standardized SSE processes.
Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $242,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
