Northrop Grumman has an open opportunity for the Sentinel Guidance Navigation and Controls (GN&C) Director 2 (Director Programs 2) as a critical direct report to the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Segment Vice President, based out of Roy, UT. The Sentinel program modernizes nearly every facet of the land leg of the nuclear triad. The AVE is a new intercontinental ballistic missile, including guidance, solid rocket motor propulsion, post-boost attitude control, and re-entry system.
The Sentinel GN&C Director will be accountable for every aspect program execution and performance for the GN&C team and serves an integral role in cultivating the customer relationship and shaping the team culture. The GN&C Director will determine strategic priorities, align the Integrated Product Team (IPT) business rhythm to the Segment, and is accountable for the overall execution of the GN&C IPT including hardware products, internal and external suppliers, software development, systems engineering, integration and test. The GN&C director will work closely with other Segment and functional leadership to ensure required staffing, processes and infrastructure are available to efficiently execute the contract.
Sentinel GN&C Director responsibilities include:

Integrated program performance management (cost, schedule, technical, risk & opportunity, quality) to deliver on all contract and AOP/LRSP commitments
Day to day contractual and programmatic change management
GN&C IPT demand planning (staffing, infrastructure, clearances, etc)
GN&C IPT approach to supplier management to strengthen partnerships and drive performance
Cultivate supplier and program / functional teammate relationships at an executive level to ensure team performance
Support to strategic planning and professional development / organization efficiency initiatives

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.

You Will Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with minimum of 12 years of experience (or 10 years with a Master's) in a related technical field and IPT/Program Management experience
5+ years leading/managing teams on complex projects
5+ years managing programs or subcontracts in excess of $500M, inclusive of cost-type contracts
Ability to travel domestically, up to 25% of the time
Must have an active and current DoD Secret clearance and be SAP clearable
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

MS Engineering or MBA
Prior experience related to software/hardware development, integration and test
Prior experience leading development of GN&C technologies and products
IPT / PM experience across multiple phases of the program lifecycle
Prior experience managing major subcontracts
Excellent conflict management and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions
Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance and additional SCI/SAP access
Proven ability to lead a high performing team with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts retains and inspires diverse engaged teams
Proven ability to successfully work across multiple organizations toward common goals, and create trusted relationships
Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted messaging, guidance, etc. across all levels of an organization
Experience with effective change management
Prior experience shaping, negotiating, and capturing large contracts

Salary Range: $223,300.00 - $334,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
