Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Principal Systems Engineer / Sr Principal Systems Engineer. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You'll Get To Do:
Provide technical oversight to major Sentinel subcontractor
Understand and apply system requirements to assist in hardware design, development, manufacturing and test
Assist in Critical Design Review (CDR), qualification, and system buildup for Flight Tests readiness and execution
Assist in defining test objectives based on test requirements, VCRM and interface and specification documentation
Assist in all phases of the system lifecycle including requirements application, design, test, fabrication, and implementation
Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements
Create technical reports and present technical information
Assistance in planning and scheduling activities
Interface with Air Force Customer
Interface with subcontractors
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems level (T03) or Sr Principal Systems level (T04).
Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 1 year with a PhD.
Sr Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience and Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS and CAMEO
Experience with model-based systems engineering
Proven ability to comprehend/develop/decompose System Architecture and System Requirements in a model-based environment
Experience with Requirements Impact Assessments, Change Requests, and Engineering Change Proposals
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance with SAP access
Experienced with verification planning for Critical Design Review (CDR), qualification, and system buildup for Flight Tests
Experience defining test objectives based on test requirements, VCRM and interface and specification documentation
Experience with Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management tools
Familiarity with weapon ICBM systems such as: Minuteman III, Sentinel, etc, with model-based systems engineering experience within those weapons systems

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
