Functional Homeroom Systems Engineering Manager 2 to direct the Governance & Integration team within the Mission and Weapon System Engineering (MWSE) department of the Aerospace Vehicle and Systems Integration (AVSI) directorate. This position requires the candidate to be 100% on-site in Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You Will Get To Do:
The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong management skills and will have a good track record as a motivated leader, an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the directorate business areas as required to accomplish team and department goals.
This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving balancing both the overall functional oversight and management of a Systems Engineering group of up to 15 engineers. while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current or future tasking. Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees' performance and career development through guidance and training. Program responsibilities will be dependent upon programmatic technical work and may vary by assignment, supporting one or more teams within MWSE and/or AVSI.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 6+ years of related experience
• 1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Existing 80% SDS Technical scope of work
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 6 years of experience, or 4 years of experience with a Master's degree.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of the Systems Engineering and Integration and Test processes on the Sentinel Program .
• 7+ years of leadership experience in a multi-disciplined environment.
• 2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Salary Range: *$135,100 - $202,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
