This position requires a blend of Hardware and Software skills, experience with DC, Analog, Power, Digital and/or RF test & Measurement equipment and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. In this role, you will work with software and systems engineers, as well as with program and IPT leadership to capture test requirements & develop Test Architecture / Strategy to test multiple Product Lines.

Key Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly experienced subject matter expert in the field of integrating complex RF/Power/Digital Systems with Test Equipment
The role will primarily focus on working with Design & Integration teams to ensure successful integration of new hardware and software in a test environment to meet test requirements
This position will lead a multidisciplinary team of test engineers that will be integrating and developing Production Test Solution
The role may include interfacing with external customer technical representatives, internal engineering associates and program management.
This may include collaboration with design teams for requirements flow down, management, and verification, generating complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports from advanced studies, special engineering investigations, and similar activities.
Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and team building skills are essential.
Successful candidates are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, aerospace team environment while possessing technical proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and ability to interface across the different engineering teams.
This position will require close collaboration with team members of engineering teams as well as working with the program to meet the customer's needs.
Must have the ability to develop, debug and review test code
Able to generate, review & release engineering documentation such as Electrical Schematics, Wire Tabs, Test Specifications, Assembly Drawings and Interconnect Diagrams
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and/or STEM discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of relevant engineering experience, Master's degree with 12 years of relevant engineering experience OR 10 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 5 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable time frame to meet business needs.
Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, Technical lead, HW & SW Architect and/or other Leadership role with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Relevant experience with HW and/or SW lifecycle and ability to lead design efforts, design test & evaluation, and/or transition designs into Production.
Must have the ability to develop, debug and review test code. Also, be able to generate, review & release engineering documentation such as Electrical Schematics, Wire Tabs, Test Specifications, Assembly Drawings and Interconnect Diagrams.
Ability to lead a Team of Test Architects on Major Programs and Develop the Strategy for Test Execution, which would outline desired personnel resources and required technical skillsets to successfully meet Program's contractual / financial milestones.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance
Test design and integration background
Ability to work with minimal direction and guidance.
Experience with Lab Windows CVI, C / C++ programming
Test Stand programming
Experience with schematic design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.)
Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital design
Familiarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS - PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience
Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware
Experience and/or training in Earned Value Management Systems
Experience in any of the following areas is also desired: payload integration, avionics or digital electronics integration, risk analysis, communications, or aerospace integration and testing.
Salary Range: $179,600.00 - $269,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
