Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Principal Military Trainer - Operations Officer to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The MCTP trains Brigade, Division, and Corps Commanders and their staffs during simulation-driven command post Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in support of Large-Scale Combat Operations and across Multi-Domain Operations.

Responsibilities:
Principal duty is operations officer for Scenario Design Enterprise. Serves as the operations manager and is responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations. Manages information flow, understands the operational environment to include planning, preparation and execution of War Fighter Exercise's (WFXs) and daily garrison operations in support of Scenario Design.
* Prepares and maintains tracking mechanisms that support personnel rosters, calendar scheduling, container shipment, shipping schedule and daily functions during garrison operations.
* Maintains situational awareness with regards to all Exercise Lifecycle (ELC) planning events:
Proficient in VISIO (room builds), Mission Training Complex room apportionment. Work closely with Exercise Support Division planners with submission of Scenario Design portion of room builds.
* Maintain, Initial Exercise Planning (IEP), and Final Exercise Planning (FEP) conferences.
* Proficient in site setup operations.
* Proficient in the usage of CPCE, VJOC, WARSIM, and Exercise Client. Basic understanding of ARCHER and V3D.
* Administratively responsible to ensure an accurate display of OE, CORPS BUBs, CUBs, and scenario updates in Scenario Design ECG during WFXs.
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of professional leadership experience
* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of professional leadership experience
* Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional leadership experience
* Familiar with current Army/Joint doctrine
* Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
* Must be able to travel as needed both CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% of the time)
* Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
* Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree
* U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, or MEL 4 equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE)
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large-scale computer simulation exercises
* Previous experience in computer assisted simulation training
Salary Range: $71,600 - $104,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
