Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager - Manager Level 2 (Mid-Level Manager), to join our Strategic Space Systems team in Redondo Beach, CA.
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
This role is contingent upon program award anticipated in the first quarter of 2025.
In this position, the Manager will provide supervision, guidance, and development to a small team of Program Planning & Scheduling Analysts and will prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives. The incumbent selected will interface with upper management, human resources, compliance, program leadership, and security and will perform detailed schedule, resource work, and cost analysis to make recommendations and solve problems. Additionally, they will be responsible for resource planning and staffing; employee engagement, staff development, including skills training and career support; performance management, including employee goal setting, quarterly reviews, and issues resolution. The incumbent selected will possess strong analytical skills needed to effectively evaluate data, identify trends, assess risk and make informed decision allowing for proactive problem-solving and strategic adjustments throughout the program Lifecyle.
In this job, you will:
Perform quarterly performance reviews
* Oversee staffing, performance management and coaching development of the Schedule Management professional staff
* Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
* Provides weekly and monthly status and reporting, including lead weekly program schedule review
* Conducting Program Management Monthly Execution Review, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
* Create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership
* Effectively work with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager
Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
DCMA 14-point
* IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
* NDIA EIA-748 32 Guidelines
* Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
* Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
* Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
* Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of stated professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6+ years of stated professional experience.
* Leadership experience.
* Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) software such as (i.e., MS Project, Milestone Professional, Deltek and SSI Tools).
* Active Department of Defense (DoD) Special Compartmented Information (SCI) Access upon application.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Project Server environment
* Knowledge of Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development; Schedule Risk
* Assessment (SRA) approach and execution

Salary Range: $142,200 - $213,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
