Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) sector is currently hiring a Program Director 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This requisition will be used to fill multiple roles. These leadership opportunities are based in Melbourne, FL. *
This is a leadership position with daily executive interactions, and selected candidate will display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Northrop Grumman leadership behaviors. Key Responsibilities include: *
Positively lead, inspire and motivate a team to execute to plan
Manage key program execution artifacts, for example, Program Definition Document (PDD), Program Management Plan (PMP), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), Program Cadence, Program Change Management, Risk & Opportunity Board
Lead a team of technical team members to deliver technical capabilities
Leadership of a team of direct reports where you will define goals, develop the team and ensure the team is continuously performing and growing into expanded roles.
Manage team to baseline schedule and cost allocations
Actively manage Risk, Issues & Opportunities to ensure program execution success
Partner with functional disciplines to define and integrate expertise into the team
Customer communication and collaboration to drive mutual goals and shared success
Be a digital advocate, applying new tools and functionality to drive execution efficiencies
Effectively coordinate across multiple program IPTs to manage change and configuration of requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master's degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below
Related experience includes a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
3 years' experience in program/project management
Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company, and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
Experience in the delivery of infrastructure work products on prior programs to include facilities, various test articles or engineering labs.
Prior assignment to be part of a team responsible for the construction and accreditation of office buildings, engineering labs and production floors.
Prior assignment
Prior experience working in Program Integration or Operations & Integration for a large program responsible for baseline artifact management, program cadence and ensuring program teams have the tools and resources to complete their scope of work.
Experience leading a team in a matrixed environment to achieve program goals.
Program management experience on Agile programs applying incremental planning and delivering programs on schedule.
Salary Range: *$197,500 - $296,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
