Microelectronics | Northrop Grumman
The Microelectronics, Design, and Applications (MDA) organization is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Factory Productivity Engineer to join our team and pioneer new approaches, design and implement technologies for a computer integrated manufacturing system. You'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Create factory floor models, develop capacity planning models, validate master scheduling, and prediction accuracy
Setup and integrate factory planning tools for a manufacturing organization
Utilize capacity models to create wafer start plan for fab loading
Identify shortcomings in capacity models for the factory floor as well as adapting to changing needs in an R&D manufacturing environment
Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on a variety of WIP in a high mix environment
Evaluate impacts of process changes to capacity models
Build and implement tools to evaluate manufacturing efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
Optimize capacity of fab equipment by performing fab wide and tool specific optimization studies
This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/ Annapolis Junction, MD.
This requisition may be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Factory Change Management Lead Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Factory Productivity Engineer:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Able to support execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross team
Experience in high volume automated manufacturing microelectronics or semiconductor fabs, including experience with semiconductor CIM components
Has experience in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Resources Planning (MRP)
Working knowledge of Factory Physics relating to Semiconductor or Microelectronics fabrication industrial engineering
Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Factory Productivity Engineer:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with a 8+ years of relevant experience
Able to support execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross team
Experience in high volume automated manufacturing microelectronics or semiconductor fabs, including experience with semiconductor CIM components
Has experience in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control / Material Resources Planning (MRP)
Working knowledge of Factory Physics relating to Semiconductor or Microelectronics fabrication industrial engineering
Must be willing to work on site 100% of time
Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelor's or master's degree or higher in industrial engineering
Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate meetings
Has worked with Applied Materials APD / Real Time Dispatch (RTD) products
Strong skills in data mining, data analysis and critical thinking to aid in troubleshooting scheduling issues
Understands how factory planners use simulation and advanced analytics tools to perform WIP scheduling in automated fashions
Strong understanding of Factory Physics concepts and application within a Semiconductor or Microelectronics fabrication facility
Capable of performing multivariate optimizations on a model to maximize or minimize a particular objectives like output and cycletime
Has worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) solution
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software tools, i.e. Atlassian tools stack - Jira, Confluence
Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $131,100.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
