Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal/Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test & Evaluation team based out of Melbourne, FL.

This position will entail maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with user community. Interacting with users and evaluating vendor products. Making system configuration recommendations, coordinating installation, and providing data recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
Responsibilities may include:
• Maintaining availability of Test Station and Software Development Environment.
• Ensuring systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans.
• Ensuring Lab Operations Policy and Procedures as being executed and updated.
• Establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support certification and accreditation of systems.
• Periodically conducting a complete review of system audits and monitor corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Engineer:
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 3 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university OR PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 1 year of experience in engineering.
• Knowledge of system and network administration in Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiar with networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls, and proxies).
• Familiar with Infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience scripting with some or all: YAML, JSON, Python, BASH, PowerShell.
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

• Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 6 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 4 years of experience in engineering.
• Knowledge of system and network administration in Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiar with networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls, and proxies).
• Familiar with Infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience integrating and debugging software on hardware.
• Experience working within an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, CMake, and Eclipse, Visual Studio
Code.
• Proficiency with Cloud Technology (Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Metrics Tools).
• Familiar with Infrastructure as code.
• Familiar with Cloud Management and Administration.
Salary Range: $104,800 - $157,200
Salary Range 2: *$130,500 - $195,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
