Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in our San Diego, CA location supporting the program portfolio within the Communications Solutions BU. This position is Onsite/Hybrid located in San Diego, CA. We are unable to accommodate a full-time remote arrangement. What You'll get to do:

Develop supply chain material strategy and leads activities for GSC in all phases of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), which includes efforts in Proposals, Execution and Contract Closeout efforts.
* Coordinates interdepartmental activity, directs communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions.
* Coordinate cross-functionally (with all program functions) to ensure supply chain commitments are met and that appropriate integrated mitigation or opportunity plans are developed and executed. Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
* Lead supply chain execution and is accountable for horizontal and vertical integration, resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity and issue management, supplier performance, and issue resolution. Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
* Align project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community.
* Demonstrate problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering, or project management.
* Brief the GSC Program Manager and Programmatic stakeholders on the status and issues affecting program performance: Cost, risks and opportunities, and schedule.
* Involved in special projects and continuous improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of experience, or Master's Degree with at least 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Program/Project Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
* Experience working in Global Supply Chain.
* Proficient with SAP and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
* Proficient in supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, and supplier/program/product scheduling.
* Experience with Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR and FAR/DFARS.
* Able to acquire and maintain DoD Secret Security clearance.
* Must be able to acquire and maintain program special accesses (as needed).
* US Citizen.
*Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Active Secret or Top-Secret Security clearance (US citizenship).
* Proficient in Earned Value Management Systems.
* Control Account Manager (CAM) certification.
* ASCM/APICS Supply Chain Certifications.
* Experience working with multiple complex contracting types and agreements, including Firm Fixed - - Price and Cost Reimbursable, and possess knowledge relating to special payment provisions (progress of performance base payments).
* Experience with proposal process, pricing instructions, and terms and conditions.
* Master's Degree.

Salary Range: *$91,200 - $136,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
