Are you ready to start defining possible with Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal Sensor/Instructor Sensor Operator to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals.
You will analyze aerial and ground permanent record imagery developed by a photographic and electronic means, and plan and recommend the use of all ground and aerial sensor systems for surveillance and reconnaissance missions. You will also utilize principles and techniques of photogrammetry and employ electronic, mechanical, and optical devices to obtain information from permanent record images. You will obtain intelligence by studying and analyzing imagery produced by aerial sensor systems. Determine target coordinates for accurate location of imagery analysis findings. Prepare imagery analysis reports and products.
This role is a part of our Logic Center Flight Operations team. The Logic Center directly supports our Q-4 CLS and AFSAT contracts abroad. Our work provides sustained guidance, leadership, and expertise to our customers. You will also interact, interface and work with customers from many backgrounds from many countries.
Essential Functions:

Subject Matter Expert (SME) on sensor payloads and operation.
* Providing instruction regarding ISAR, EO, IR, SAR and MMTI/GMTI collections.
* Providing analytical support in troubleshooting with reference to technical orders, engineering documents and safety documents.
* Maintain flight qualification and be the model of proper crew resource management.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal: High School diploma and 9 years of relevant experience in imagery/sensor exploitation; Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; or Masters Degree with 3 years relevant experience.
* Sr Principal: High School diploma and 12 years of relevant experience in imagery/sensor exploitation; Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; or Masters Degree with 6 years relevant experience.
* Willing to travel 50%.
* Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
* FAA 3rd Class medical.
* Have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
Preferred Qualifications:

Instructor Qualification.
Salary Range: $82,900 - $124,300
Salary Range 2: $103,200 - $154,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
