Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Financial Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will become an integral part of the Advanced Weapons team tasked with providing support to the business unit for planning and reporting activities. The ideal candidate will be proactive and have the ability work in a fast-paced environment. This position will be located on-site in Northridge, CA.
Essential Functions:

Review, analysis, and assessment on organizational financial statements
* Requires the ability to work with large data sets and to be able to maintain, improve and own the data files
* Monthly review of organizational financial results as compared to plan, prior forecast, and prior actual results
* Helps coordinate monthly forecast updates and to prepare organizational monthly operational reviews
* Coordinates 5-year long range strategic plan (LRSP) within the organization
* Prepares organizational financial review packages for actuals, forecasts and 5-year strategic plans
* Coordinate quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) reviews for business unit and Division review. Need to work closely with operating units to coordinate program detail as required
* Cash monitoring and analysis to facilitate reviews with business unit, division, and sector
* Support internal, external and government audits as required
* Support business system changes modifications as they support the FP&A organization
* Support Division, Sector or NG corporate requests as needed. This could be requests for tax, risk management, insurance, or any other ad hoc requests that may come up

Basic Qualifications for Principal Financial Analyst (Level 3):

This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 9 years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field
* Will consider one of the following:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field
* Master's degree with a minimum of 3 plus years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Financial Analyst (Level 4):

This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 12 years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field
* Will consider one of the following:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field
* Master's degree with a minimum of 6 plus years of Financial Analyst or related experience in financial analysis or business-related professional field

* Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced MS Excel skills (i.e. v/h lookups, pivot tables, Index/Match, Chart Generation)
* Detail and results oriented; ability to deliver timely and accurate results under time sensitive conditions
Preferred Qualifications:

Financial Systems experience such as NGFP or other planning/forecasting tools. Costpoint experience would be a plus
* Experience with DOD contracts and Government Cost Account Standards (CAS)
* Demonstrated understanding of and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) / Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
Salary Range: $91,200 - $136,800
Salary Range 2: *$113,500 - $170,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
