Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Sr Principal Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA. This engineering position is for a role on our Hardware Engineering Team. In this role you will support the USAF F-15 Avionics Maintenance Engineering Authority. This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily.
Your responsibilities will include:

Provide technical expertise and engineering support to USAF F-15 Avionics Supply Maintenance Engineering Authority.

Analyze electronic capabilities to resolve problems and output requirements using engineering best practices and standards.

Prepares technical data packages and reports. Therefore, excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role.

Perform root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations on avionic systems, testing equipment, and testing software.

Simulates and tests hardware/software test programs.

Perform data analysis.

Research and collaborate with team members.

This position may be filled at Principal or Senior Principal Level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electrical Engineer:

Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline

Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 3 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Electrical Engineer:

Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline

Minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience with B.S degree; Minimum of 6 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; No direct relevant experience necessary with PhD.

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong background in DoD avionics, specifically F-15 avionics.

Familiar with DoD Technical Data (Technical Orders, Test Requirements Document, Drawing etc.)

Familiar with analyzing component/system level specification data.

Background in DMSS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources of Supply) issue resolution and component evaluations to a specific set of requirements to resolve obsolesce.

Avionics troubleshooting experience.

Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
