Northrop Grumman, Defense Systems, is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Configuration Analyst in Huntsville, AL. These tasks include (but are not limited to):
Support CM Governance and Planning activities.
* Support the development and maintenance of Configuration Management tools
* Administer change processes and ensuring changes are documented in accordance with program requirements.
* Control technical baselines and coordinate the development and maintenance of the systems, tools, and environments they are stored in.
* Generate reports that provide the status of Configured items, and the maturity of technical baselines.
* Administer Configuration audit activities for both internal and external stakeholders.
* Be responsible for ensuring program data has been approved, distributed, and managed appropriately in accordance with company, sector, and program approved processes.
* Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of software processes for Configuration Management

Analyzes proposed changes of product builds to determine effect on overall product and system.

Coordinates modification records for management control.
* Establishes change requests and prepares change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
* Maintains traceability of changes on products and documentation throughout the life cycle
* Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, and engineering data control activities.
* Support program configuration and data management requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
Principal level- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 4 years of experience, or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* Sr Principal level- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relative experience, Master's degree and 8 years of experience, or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

* The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred qualification:
Experience working on or with a Release Team to deliver product to customer
* Knowledge of Configuration Control Boards
* Experience with JIRA/Confluence preferred
Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000
Salary Range 2: *$104,900 - $157,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
