Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Audit compliance to requirements, both internal and external (AS9100, CMMI...etc.)
* Maintain process, production, and audit documentation
* Monitor and manage nonconforming material
* Implement preventive and/or corrective actions and continuous improvements
* Review and analyze corrective action reports, non-conformance reports, and trends to reduce and eliminate defects
* Interface and provide support to various other organizations (i.e. Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, Material Management, etc.) to address program issues/concerns and to ensure requirements are achieved
* Review, analyze and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, test, and processes for products and operational capabilities
* Ability to collect, update and analyze metrics
* Creating training content and supporting training plan development
* Investigate problems, develop and recommend dispositions and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
* Directly supporting production activity requiring verification of compliance to program requirements
* Support and facilitate various meetings, such as Corrective Action Boards
* Provide administrative support for various quality management systems
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.
Basic Qualifications:
Analyst 2: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of (2) years of experience; OR a master's degree and one (1) year of related experience. OR 6 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
* Analyst 3: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of (5) years of experience; OR a master's degree and three (3) year of related experience. OR 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
* Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance; US citizenship required.
* Proven ability effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel in both written and verbal formats.
* Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient computer skills (MS Office) and ability to learn new computer programs easily.
* Must have initiative, judgement, and ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions with high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proven experience working cooperatively with team members and meeting required deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current/active Top Secret clearance.
* Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems.
* Quality auditor experience.
* Familiar with AS9100.
* Experience with HQMS, IPRS and QAF TipQA and Deltek's Costpoint.
Salary Range: $70,600 - $105,800
Salary Range 2: $87,000 - $130,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
