Marine Systems-Cape Canaveral specializes in providing deployed systems support for launching and handling systems for the U. S./UK Navy TRIDENT II (D5) Fleet Ballistic Missile Programs. We are seeking a Principal Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will be part of the Project Management Team supporting onsite at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The overall responsibilities include executable tasks that will enable leadership to achieve operational excellence. Our organization is seeking a project manager who will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and program leadership. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Responsibilities include the following:

Assessment of project issues and development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
* Performs roles and responsibilities related to Control Account Manager (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Ensures that contract requirements are met by coordinating project activities with participating functional organizations, vendors, or suppliers which are necessary to meet project requirements.
* Acts as a customer contact for project activities, contribute to project status review sessions with internal management and customer to discuss cost, schedule, and performance.
* Establishes project milestones and monitors adherence to processes and schedules, identifies project risks and manages risk mitigation or solutions.
* Participates in the development of contract proposals and contract modifications.
* Support of internal and customer meetings including, presentation material templates, collection, and content generation, meeting attendance for on-site integration, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.
* Maintaining organization charts.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; Associate degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR 9+ years of continuous experience in lieu of degree.
* Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, capture efforts, business management related functions.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project).
* Experience with Project Management principles.
* Control Account Manager (CAM) experience/certification.
* Experience with Earned Value Management.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Risk/issue/opportunities (RIO) experience.
* Scheduling experience.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
* Previous experience with the TRIDENT II Launcher Subsystem and Support Equipment.
* Previous experience with manufacturing or production programs.
* Cost Plus contract type experience
* Active Secret Security Clearance.
Salary Range: $76,600 - $115,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
