This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, sustainment, issue resolution, and upgrades of complex IT datacenter systems.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary Point of Contact for datacenter maintenance, sustainment, and issue resolution:

Primary interface for both internal and external stakeholders regarding current system configuration, external connectivity, system health, and upgrade & sustainment activities
Understand and track system health, scheduled maintenance, user feedback, and support requests
Review, disposition, track to closure, and work with the team to provide engineering solutions for Engineering Service Requests (ESRs)
Oversee implementation of engineering solutions and track that changes are ultimately captured in engineering
Work with team to understand technical challenges then brief internal and external stakeholders on system status and critical technical issues
Oversee Installations & Upgrades:

Work with engineering teams to draft & release Temp Mods and Service Bulletins
Establish execution plan, coordinate system down time, and identify/mitigate risks
Coordinate personnel supporting upgrade either via travel or onsite personnel
Coordinate delivery and security approval of all required materials (hardware, cables, media, etc)
Solve technical challenges and/or resolve issues leveraging support from both engineering and field integration teams
Report daily status on upgrade progress, challenges, and changes in execution plan
Provide system level thinking to improve datacenter systems & processes:

Become datacenter subject matter expert using historical insight and lessons learned to provide input to leadership on program improvements
Support quarterly Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) Updates by providing input on IFC content selection to best address user concerns
Review ESRs and other sustainment activities to recommend improvements or engineering changes that should be captured in next IFC or other documentation
Review planned IFC changes and communicate to the onsite personnel the impacts that will have on the system
Provide and/or coordinate delta training to ensure personnel understand the changes between IFCs
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter who takes ownership of their system(s) and thrives in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
This position will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. This position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
This position may be filled at either the Principal Electronics Engineer - Mission Systems Responsible Engineer or Senior Principal Electronics Engineer - Mission Systems Responsible Engineer level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Electronics Engineer - Mission Systems Responsible Engineer:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience with reviewing, tracking, and dispositioning Engineering Service Requests (ESRs)
Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Electronics Engineer - Mission Systems Responsible Engineer:

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of related engineering experience.
Demonstrated experience with reviewing, tracking, and dispositioning Engineering Service Requests (ESRs)
Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

Current Special Program Access
Experience with datacenter design, management, or hardware/software installations
Experience with Information as a Service (IaaS) or Platform as a Service (PaaS)
Experience with hardware/software virtualization
Experience with Engineering Drawings
Experience with Agile processes (Atlassian, JIRA, Confluence, scrums, sprints, etc)
Experience using MS Project
Current DoD 8140-approved IAT Level II (or higher) compliant certification
Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
