The selected candidate will support to the on-orbit operations of a Space Security Business Unit (SPS BU) program.

You will be responsible for:

Working with Space Segment Engineering teams to develop on orbit test plans, procedures, and scripts for delivery to Mission Integrator (MI)
Supporting MI lead space-ground integration and test events
Supporting MI lead mission rehearsals
Supporting MI lead on-orbit events including engineering team lead, system verification, and anomaly investigation support
Standard business hours support to the regular operations tempo (mission daily meetings, pre/post mission briefings, assisting with bus maintenance activities, CCBs)
Periodic monitoring of Bus state-of-health / Trending
Acting as the NG Bus representative for on-call support of on-orbit issues or anomaly resolution
Maintenance and improvement of bus related operational procedures / scripts
Assisting with the execution of future mission rehearsals, system software updates
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 5 years of applicable experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of applicable experience.
Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of application.
Knowledge and experience in satellite engineering disciplines to include attitude control, power management, thermal control, propulsion, command and data handling or flight and ground software
Familiarity with spacecraft mission operations and planning
Preferred Qualifications:

ESPASat or ESPASat-L space vehicle design / operations
Experience with satellite ground software
Ability to lead an engineering team through the anomaly resolution process
Strong technical background in orbital mechanics/astrodynamics
Prior aerospace-related work experience for a U.S Government Agency or Contractor

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
