F-35 Principal Low Observable Survivability Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The location of this position is Eglin Air Force Base, FL in support of the F-35 Lightning II Program. This position will require approximately 50% travel.

You will be assigned to the F-35 Sustainment Organizational Unit (OU) as an F-35 Repair Verification Equipment (RVE) Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the full-spectrum of radar imaging activities across entire F-35 program.

Essential Functions:

Operating the RVE at various F-35 sites to ensure non-standard F-35 LO defects and aircraft modifications do not adversely impact respective aircraft's Radar Cross Section.
* Sustaining Information Assurance (IA) posture for all F-35 aircraft RVR systems as directed under the security certification and accreditation documentation and approved by the F-35 Program Authorizing Official (AO).
* Participate in drafting future Windows migration packages under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) for Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) construct. Candidate will author RMF artifacts/documents to include a robust Information (IA) Verification & Validation (V&V) Test Plan.
* Execute IA V&V Test Plan with other team members. Once ATO is awarded by Authorizing Official (F-35 Program Executive Officer) candidate will maintain RVE's IA posture IAW F-35 Program Standard Vulnerability Management Plan.
* Integrate into a high tempo military operational environment
* Manage, track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, and provide periodic status to customers and program management team
* Combine engineering knowledge with real world low observable maintenance experience.
* Conduct training and provide product briefings to customers, vendors, and company representatives
* Support program technical interchange meetings and program plans development relating to problem analysis, engineering dispositions and in-house technical support
* You must be able to work any shift, weekends, overtime and holidays, if necessary, as well as travel on Temporary Duty Assignments (TDY's) to support F-35 program requirements
Basic Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 5 years of related professional / military experience in tactical military aircraft Field Support, Field Engineering, or Radar Cross Section (RCS) assessment using Repair Verification Equipment (RVE); Or, a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 3 years of related professional / military experience in tactical military aircraft Field Support, Field Engineering, or Radar Cross Section (RCS) assessment using Repair Verification Equipment (RVE.
* Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
* You must be able and willing to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:

F-35 Program Supportable Low Observable/RVE Tier II LO verification.
* CompTIA Security+ Certification.
* Field support or prior military experience.
* Working knowledge of engineering tools such as CATIA, VAS, and PDM.
* Working knowledge of F-35 tools such as LIST, JDL, and ALIS.
* Previous access to Special Access Programs.
Salary Range: $78,700 - $118,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
